Maryinka is no more. The Ukrainian military has prepared a defensive line outside this settlement. This was announced during a briefing by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, UNN reports.

"We are defending every piece of our land... But the lives of our soldiers are more important to us... Maryinka has been holding out for almost two years... As of today, our troops are in the northern part of the town. Our troops have prepared a defensive line outside of this settlement, but I can say that this settlement no longer exists. The methodology is exactly the same as it was in Bakhmut. Street after street is being destroyed... We have now withdrawn to the outskirts of Maryinka," said Zaluzhnyi.
