On May 17, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale was registered in the Poltava region. This is not the first instance of seismic activity in the region in recent months. This was reported by the Main Center for Special Control, according to UNN.

According to specialists, the tremors were recorded at 6:39 AM in the Poltava district, near the Dykanka community. The coordinates of the earthquake's source are 49.84 North latitude and 34.25 East longitude.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 2.6 on the Richter scale, and the depth was 4 kilometers. According to seismologists' classification, it is categorized as barely perceptible.

On the evening of March 28, in the Machukhy community of the Poltava region, tremors with a magnitude of 3.2 were recorded. Specialists classified the earthquake as barely perceptible; no damage was found.
