Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets accuses the International Federation of the Red Cross of supporting Russian aggression by failing to condemn the actions of the Russian Red Cross in the occupied Ukrainian territories and its cooperation with sanctioned entities.

He reminded that he had applied to the IFRC because of statements made by employees of the Russian branch and the connection of its head with a Russian "patriotic organization". The IFRC stated that the Russian organization is not present in the occupied Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine, but "not a single word is said that the RRC operates in Crimea.
In addition, the Russian Red Cross stole the property of the National Red Cross Society of Ukraine in Crimea, Lubinets wrote and added that the Ukrainian organization demands to condemn these actions. At the same time, the ombudsman said that the Russian Red Cross cooperated with the Artek camp in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
It was also said that the director of the camp was sanctioned for his involvement in the deportation of Ukrainian children. At the same time, the federation's conclusions currently state only that "the partnership between the RRC and the Artek camp requires a serious review." These words look pathetic
The audit showed that "some individuals" from the RCC made political statements that did not comply with the organization's principles. Lubinets writes that the head of the organization in Russia is allegedly "no longer involved in political organizations," but this does not mean that his views have changed.
At the same time, a group of federations set up to review the actions of the Russian Red Cross will present its findings within the next four months.
I consider such actions on the part of the IFRC to be a direct support of Russian aggression. International organizations cannot play along with Russian aggression in silence! Otherwise, they do not help, but only harm the world order! I believe that the IFRC, a world-renowned organization, has turned into a lawyer for Russian criminals
He also said that the new president of the IFRC, Kate Forbes, is ready to meet with him, and he plans to raise these issues during the meeting.
