Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda appoints Laurinas Kasciunas as the new Minister of National Defense.
On Monday, March 25, President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda appointed Laurinas Kasciunas as Minister of National Defense. This was reported by the Office of the Lithuanian President, UNN reports .
The President, in accordance with Article 84, paragraph 7 of the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania and taking into account the proposals of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonite, signed a decree appointing Laurinas Kasciūnas as Minister of National Defense,
Details
It is noted that Nausėda separately signed a decree dismissing Arvydas Anusasukas, who had earlier resigned from the post of Minister of National Defense.
