A US court in Boston has sentenced a 22-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, Jack Teixeira, to 15 years in prison for leaking classified US military documents to the Internet. This was reported by Reuters, according to UNN.

Teixeira pleaded guilty back in March, admitting to what federal prosecutors called “some of the most significant” violations of the Espionage Act. At the hearing, which was conducted by Judge Indira Talwani, Teixeira apologized for his actions, but was convicted of serious violations of national data security.
