Lawyer Olga Gutovska is accused of fraudulently appropriating the assets of 21 bankrupt banks for nothing
Lawyer Olha Hutovska is accused of fraudulently appropriating the assets of 21 bankrupt banks for nothing. This is stated in the story of the investigative journalism program "Stop Corruption".
The journalists talked to the ex-wife of the former head of Fortuna Bank, which was declared bankrupt and whose assets were put up for sale by the State Property Fund.
She claims that the financial institution's assets were sold at auction by the SPFU at a reduced price.
"The portfolio of 21 bankrupt banks, including Fortuna, was sold by the State Property Fund to Start Investment Van for only 3% of the value of all loans and collateral. Whereas, according to the law, this value should have been at least 20-30%," said Olena Tyshchenko.
According to the journalists, Olha Hutovska, a lawyer who recently became an assistant to Oleh Tyahnybok, a member of the Svoboda party, at the age of 16, may be behind the entire chain of the "gray" scheme.
Gutovska was also listed as the head of several public organizations and enterprises, which, according to Stop Corruption journalists, have all the signs of fictitiousness.
It was Olga Gutovska who organized the purchase of the assets of the bankrupt financial institution through shell companies for nothing, Olena Tyshchenko is convinced.
According to her, this was preceded by an extortion of money from the former owners, which Gutovska refused.
"From the very beginning, it was a fraudulent scheme, which Gutovska led, involving foreign legal entities in addition to fictitious companies. Gutovska demanded $55 million from us through these firms and shell companies. We refused to pay. After that, she initiated a series of lawsuits, which she lost. The fraudulent intent was clearly evident," Olena Tyshchenko told Stop Corruption.
She also added that the relevant appeals with the initiative to initiate criminal proceedings over these facts have already been sent to law enforcement agencies.
And the journalists of Stop Corruption point out that despite the lack of income in Hutovska's official declaration, she drives premium cars around the capital. And her relatives are the last. They have noticeably "overgrown" with movable and immovable property recently.
