"6 projects involve thermal modernization of social infrastructure facilities. The average annual heat energy savings will be 60%. Another 4 projects involve the installation of solar power plants at infrastructure facilities in Yahotyn, Brovary and Vyshhorod. The average annual electricity savings will reach 18%," Kravchenko said.
In addition, he added, five tenders for the purchase of energy services have been announced in Vyshhorod, Boyarka, and Fastiv, and work is underway to involve communities in signing new ESCO contracts. Additionally, about 20 more potential locations for the installation of solar power plants are being considered.
In addition, CRSA, together with the territorial communities of the region, has already preliminarily identified locations for the installation of rooftop solar power plants in public sector institutions and housing and communal facilities. In particular, in Vasylkiv, Boyarka, Doslidnytske, Vyshneve, Bila Tserkva, and Glevakha. We are currently studying the technical possibilities of installation and connection.
Kravchenko also reminded that in the near future, 19 cogeneration plants with a total capacity of more than 50 MW are planned to be installed in the communities of Brovary, Bucha, and Vyshhorod districts in Kyiv region. There are also plans to install compact gas-fired thermal power plants for education, healthcare, and social welfare facilities in a number of communities in Kyiv Oblast.
"We are already implementing a set of measures in the Kyiv region to ensure that people have heat, light and water in winter despite all the challenges. Time is short. Therefore, all measures should be prompt. We are working on installing solar power plants, cogeneration units, generators and other sources of alternative power," emphasized the RMA chief.
