Ukraine aims to make significant progress toward NATO membership at the Alliance's Washington Summit in July as it defends NATO's borders while protecting itself.

Ukraine is working to secure a "strong and far-reaching step" toward NATO membership at the Alliance's Washington summit in July. Ukraine's Foreign Minister  Dmytro Kuleba told reporters , UNN reports citing The Guardian.

"We believe that Ukraine meets the main criterion for membership, namely the ability to defend NATO's borders. That's what we do when we defend Ukraine... Let me say that we are working hard to make a strong and far-reaching step towards Ukraine's NATO membership at the Washington Summit," Kuleba said.
