Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported a decrease in shelling of the city, but continued fighting in the region. Kharkiv is planning to introduce a system of differentiated air alerts to better inform the population.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that the number of attacks in the city has decreased, but fighting and explosions continue in the region. He said this during a telethon, UNN reports.

He says that the city is alive and the business is working. The mayor of Kharkiv notes that there are constant air raids in the city and that it causes serious inconvenience to people.
"We are working to set up a system of differentiated air alerts in Kharkiv, so that people clearly understand that if such an alarm is sounded, the target is flying toward Kharkiv," he says.

In the Kharkiv region, on August 20, one person was killed and two others were injured in hostile shelling. Russian army attacks were recorded in Kupyansk, Izium and Kharkiv districts.
