Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the closure of the blue line for repairs could last up to 6 months or more, and the exact timing will be determined after a professional assessment.

The period of closure of several stations on the "blue" metro line in  Kyiv may be less or more than 6 months. This was announced by the mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, reports a correspondent of UNN

Now we are starting to calculate different options, from the worst... It may take several months, no more than 6, maybe more. According to preliminary information, experts said it would take about 6 months...

He said that a professional assessment and a more precise timeframe would be forthcoming.

In Kyiv, starting December 9, the city authorities announced the closure of   metro stations from Demiivska and Teremky for urgent repairs to the distillation tunnel. According to preliminary data, the repairs will last 6 months.

The closure of a part of the "blue" line of the Kyiv metro due to flooding led to the launch of alternative routes for ground transportation and changes in traffic, including the revision of traffic signals and the postponement of stops to prevent a traffic collapse.
