Iran struck several US military facilities in the Persian Gulf early Sunday morning. This was reported by Iranian state media, following another series of attacks by the United States, UNN reports citing CNN.

According to Iran's state television channel IRIB, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched ballistic missiles at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Also, according to IRIB, the IRGC carried out a "massive and surprise attack on logistics facilities for naval vessels and refueling platforms used by US aircraft carriers at the port of Duqm in Oman."

In Kuwait, the Iranian army claimed to have launched loitering drones against US military facilities, including the Patriot air defense system. And in Bahrain, where the US 5th Fleet is based, the Iranian army claimed an attack on a communications system and radar installation belonging to US forces.

CNN was unable to confirm the claim of attacks on US military facilities. CNN has reached out to US Central Command for comment.
