In Ukraine the incidence of influenza and ARVI is 36% below the epidemic threshold: what is known about the situation

During the fifth week of the epidemic season, 110,944 people fell ill with ARVI, including 64,997 children. The incidence rate is 307.9 per 100,000 people, which is 36.3% below the epidemic threshold.
About 111 thousand people fell ill with influenza and ARVI in Ukraine during the fifth week of the epidemic season, including almost 65 thousand children, the incidence rate is 36.3% below the epidemic threshold, the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health reported on Thursday, UNN reports.

"During the fifth week of the flu and ARVI epidemic season (October 28-November 3), 110,944 cases of ARVI were registered, which is 36.3% below the epidemic threshold," the report says.
The number of people who fell ill during the week is 64,997 children.
Compared to the previous week, the number of ARVI cases among adults and children under 17 decreased by 3.2% and 15.3%, respectively.
The intensive rate of SARS, including COVID-19, is 307.9 per 100,000 people, which is 10.7% less than last week.
From October 28 to November 3, two fatalities were reported among those who tested positive for COVID-19.

On September 30, an epidemic season of influenza and ARVI began in Ukraine. In total, from September 30 to November 3, according to the Central Public Health Center, 587,751 people (1.6% of the country's population) were ill, which is 15.3% less than the same period in the 2023-2024 season.
