The traffic accident occurred on the evening of June 20, at around 10:50 p.m.
According to preliminary data, the 23-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Passat B6 was driving along Lesya Ukrainka Street towards the city of Vyzhnytsia. On a difficult section of the road, he lost control and crashed into the summer terrace of the gas station, where people were present.
As a result, three visitors who were relaxing at a table on the territory of the gas station sustained injuries. They are an 18-year-old girl, a 17-year-old girl, and a 21-year-old man. They were hospitalized.
Also, the driver of the car and three of his passengers sustained bodily injuries: a 17-year-old girl, a 22-year-old girl, and a 20-year-old man. All victims were taken to hospitals for necessary assistance.
The driver has already been detained by law enforcement officers. A criminal proceeding has been initiated over the accident under Part 2 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules by a person under the influence of alcohol.
Currently, a pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
