The attack took place in an isolated area of the city of Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State. According to local authorities, the institution involved is the Dahallukitab Group of Schools, which was operating without official registration.
According to officials, 15 of the kidnapped children have already been released. The search for the remaining eight continues.
