In Myrnohrad, police will search for parents hiding children from evacuation. Authorities are calling for evacuation, warning of a deteriorating situation and possible life under shelling without water and electricity.

In Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, police will search for parents who hide their children from evacuation. This was stated by the acting head of the Myrnohrad city military administration Yuriy Tretiak on the air of Radio Svoboda on Tuesday, UNN reports.

We have cases where parents hide their children. Today we will have a meeting with the police to discuss how we will work with such people, how we will search for such parents who hide children and give false information that the children have long since left. We will make house-to-house visits. We are doing this, but we will intensify these actions, especially in those areas of the city that are subject to daily attacks

- Tretiak said.

The front line is now reportedly less than five kilometers from Myrnohrad. According to local authorities, approximately 16,000 people remain in the city.

"I hope that by the end of the week it will be less than ten thousand. But I can't say for sure. We can't force people out," said the head of the MBA.

Tretiak urged people to evacuate as soon as possible, as the situation will only get worse. When asked what would happen to people who would not be evacuated in time or who would stay in the city, Tretiak replied: "Life under constant shelling. Perhaps without water and without electricity. That is why I appeal to the residents of Myrnohrad and the Myrnohrad community: do not wait. It will not get better.
