In Lviv, a 34-year-old man fired about ten shots into the air near children. Patrol officers detained the perpetrator; he faces up to seven years in prison.
In Lviv, patrol officers detained a man who opened fire near a playground. This was reported by the Patrol Police of Ukraine, according to UNN.

The incident occurred on Hnata Khotkevycha Street. An eyewitness called law enforcement and pointed out a man with an object resembling a weapon to the Tactical Response Unit (TOR) officers.
According to the woman, the man fired several shots into the air, frightening the children who were nearby.
Patrol officers from the Tactical Response Unit approached him from different directions, after which they knocked the pistol out of his hands and detained him.
As established by the investigative-operational group, the 34-year-old man fired about ten shots. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
The weapon, presumably a pneumatic pistol, was seized for forensic examination. The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
He faces charges under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism. The sanction of the article provides for up to seven years of imprisonment. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
