A foster mother in the Kyiv region is accused of torturing a 13-year-old boy. She severely beat him with a pipe and caused physical and mental harm. The children in her care were moved to a rehabilitation center, and the woman was placed under round-the-clock house arrest.

In one of the orphanages in Kyiv region, a guardian severely beat a 13-year-old boy for "educational" purposes. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, UNN reports.

According to the investigation, the suspect is a foster mother of seven children in a family-type orphanage.

There were frequent misunderstandings between the woman and the 13-year-old foster child. Recently, during another conflict, the suspect, as a punishment, picked up a chrome pipe and hit the boy on the head and torso. She also hit the young man with her hands on various parts of his body, causing physical pain, mental suffering and bodily harm.

Under the procedural supervision of the juvenile prosecutors of the Fastiv District Prosecutor's Office, the woman was notified of suspicion of torturing children.

The court has already imposed a measure of restraint on her in the form of round-the-clock house arrest. Currently, all children who were under her care and living in the house have been removed and are in a rehabilitation center.
