According to the police, the wounded girl was hospitalized in an extremely serious condition. Her condition is currently stable and she is under medical supervision.
The attacker was detained shortly after the fight. He was a 16-year-old student of a Kyiv college. Following a search of his home, investigators seized the clothes he was wearing at the time of the crime, knives, brass knuckles and other material evidence.
The offender was served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Art. 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional grievous bodily harm and the issue of choosing a measure of restraint is currently being decided. The article provides for up to eight years in prison.
