"On August 2, in the village of Kamyanka, Izyum district, a 50-year-old local resident stepped on an unknown explosive device while tending to his garden. As a result of the explosion, he sustained a mine-blast injury in the form of amputation of his foot," the State Emergency Service reported on social media.
The man, as noted, went to the hospital on his own, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
