In Kharkiv, a 2-year-old boy received an electric shock in the kitchen; the child is in intensive care after being brought to the hospital in a state of clinical death. Children have been removed from the family, reported the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region on Thursday, writes UNN.

"On July 16, a report was received by the police via line '102' that a 2-year-old child was brought to a medical facility in a state of clinical death as a result of an electric shock," the statement reads.

At the scene, the police, as stated, "preliminarily established that the child was at home with the parents." "According to preliminary data, while in the kitchen, the boy received an electric shock. The parents immediately began providing first aid and called an emergency medical team, which hospitalized the child," the police noted.

Currently, the child, as reported, is in the intensive care unit. Doctors assess the boy's condition as serious.

"To ensure the safety of other children being raised in the family, they have been removed from the family and taken to a medical facility for a medical examination and provision of necessary assistance," the police reported.

Currently, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. It is planned to enter information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
