In January-February 2024, the State Customs Service of Ukraine detected 1,511 cases of customs violations totaling UAH 4.2 billion, which is ten times more than in the same period last year.
In January-February 2024, violations of customs rules totaling UAH 4.2 billion were detected in Ukraine. This is reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, UNN reports.

During the first two months of 2024, the State Customs Service of Ukraine uncovered 1511 cases of customs rules violations worth almost 10 times more than the same period last year, UAH 4.2 billion.
As a result of the 445 cases in which violations were recorded, the objects of offenses worth almost UAH 64 million were temporarily seized, including industrial goods worth UAH 35 million, food products worth over UAH 19 million, and vehicles worth UAH 9 million.

Administrative fines of UAH 12 million have already been imposed in 621 cases of customs violations, and fines have already been collected in the amount of UAH 14 million.
In addition, the customs brought to court 735 cases of violation of customs rights worth UAH 367 million.
After consideration by the court, 950 cases resulted in penalties of UAH 243 million, including confiscation of UAH 119 million and fines of UAH 124 million.
