In Italy, a major road accident involving a tourist bus, three cars, and a van occurred on the Terni–Rieti highway, resulting in six deaths and 34 injuries. This is reported by Rai News, writes UNN.

The tragedy occurred on the Terni–Rieti highway, on the border between Lazio and Umbria: the bus collided head-on with a van traveling in the opposite direction. Three cars were also involved in the collision. One of the cars overturned.
Four victims were on the bus, which was making a transfer to the Marmore Falls: two drivers and two passengers. The other two were in the van – these were tourists returning from an excursion around the outskirts of Terni. Three people with serious injuries (one of whom later died) were transported by air ambulance to the Terni hospital in critical condition. Another person was transported to Rome.
The remaining 24 people, including a child with minor injuries, were taken to hospitals in Rieti, Terni, and Foligno.
An investigation is ongoing to identify the deceased. In addition to medical assistance for the injured, psychological support was provided to those participants in the incident who did not sustain injuries.
The investigation is being conducted by the Terni traffic police with the support of the Rieti traffic police. The duty prosecutor from the Terni prosecutor's office arrived at the scene and, based on preliminary investigation results, may open a case under the article "murder using a vehicle" or "involuntary manslaughter of multiple persons."
