The press service of the regional police said that on March 19, at about 16:50, the Bucha District Police Department of the Kyiv region received a report that an unknown man was moving along the street in the city of Irpin and threatening passers-by with a knife.
Law enforcement officers immediately arrived at the scene. They tracked down the man described above with a cold steel weapon. He reacted negatively to the cops and demonstrated malicious disobedience to the demands of the police. Law enforcement officers managed to convince the man to put down the knife.
The police noted that the report of threats to the townspeople was not confirmed. Instead, law enforcement officers found out that there had been a conflict between the man and his close relative.
Both persons have been identified and are at the scene. Law enforcement officers are conducting urgent investigative actions to document the offense.
