In the Chernihiv region, a large-scale forest fire that broke out on May 8 has been extinguished. This was reported by UNN with reference to a statement by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Details
It is noted that the fire covered approximately 350 hectares of territory.
Rescuers, forestry workers, a local fire brigade, and forces from other services were involved in extinguishing the fire
It is indicated that thanks to the coordinated actions of all services, it was possible to prevent the spread of flames to larger areas and populated settlements. There are no casualties or injuries.

Forest fires engulfed the Zakarpattia, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions in early May of this year due to weather conditions and enemy shelling; on one day alone, the area of large-scale forest fires exceeded 3,000 hectares.
