On Monday, 22 people were stuck in the air for more than two hours at the Sol Spin ride at Knott's Berry Farm in California due to a technical malfunction.

Park mechanics managed to lower the ride to the ground and evacuate passengers without serious injuries. However, some of them left the scene in wheelchairs, while others limped away. Two female visitors were hospitalized for additional examination “for safety reasons,” although their health condition was not immediately specified.

According to Knott's Berry Farm, around 14:00, the Sol Spin ride experienced technical problems that stopped it in the middle of the cycle. The evacuation of guests was completed at 16:30 after mechanics used a crane to lower the ride to the ground. At the time of the stop, it was in a horizontal position, and none of the passengers were hanging upside down.

The cause of the malfunction has not yet been reported. The Sol Spin attraction, located in the Fiesta Village area of the park, is a high-speed entertainment carousel that rotates in three directions simultaneously.
