Hubble telescope captures images of mysterious "spokes" in Saturn's rings, the origin of which scientists do not fully understand
In a new image from the Hubble telescope, scientists have seen Saturn's ring spokes. So far, scientists do not understand exactly what this phenomenon is. This was reported by the specialized publication Space.com, according to UNN.

The photo was taken on October 22, 2023. If you look closely at the thick white inner band of Saturn's rings, you can see shadows. These are Saturn's ring spokes, Earth-sized transient elements that appear to rotate with the rings. But in the end, scientists don't know exactly what they are.
Previous Hubble images have shown that the spokes appear seasonally. Each season on Saturn lasts about seven years.
The basic theory is that the spokes are related to Saturn's powerful magnetic field, with some interaction of the Sun with the magnetic field giving the spokes
