How many Shaheds were shot down by Ukraine in October: impressive air defense statistics

In October, the Russians launched 2,023 "Shaheds" across Ukraine, of which 1,185 were destroyed. Since the beginning of the year, the Russian army has launched almost 7,000 attack drones, mostly targeting civilian infrastructure. This was reported on Friday, November 1, by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In October of this year, the Russian occupiers used 2023 Shahed-type attack UAVs and unidentified drones against civilian and military targets in Ukraine. Of these, 1185 were destroyed/suppressed by Ukrainian defenders, 738 units were lost locally, and another 29 UAVs left the controlled airspace of our country
In total, since the beginning of this year, the enemy has attacked Ukraine with 6,987 attack UAVs. As noted by the General Staff, enemy drones mostly targeted civilian and critical infrastructure.
"Thanks to the professionalism and skill of the servicemen of the Defense Forces, thousands of lives of our people were saved from Russian air terror, hundreds of homes of Ukrainian citizens and important state facilities were saved from destruction," the General Staff added.
