"Last night, the Kyiv police received a report that on Oleksandr Konysskyi Street, unknown persons used heavy construction equipment to demolish a house built in the late 19th century," the police said.
Reportedly, the operational officer on duty immediately sent an investigative team to the scene. The police are establishing the circumstances of the demolition of the historic building in the center of the capital as part of criminal proceedings.
"The police have located the equipment and seized it, the issue of its arrest is being decided. Investigators of the Shevchenkivsky Police Department are investigating a criminal proceeding initiated under Part 2 of Article 298 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. All the circumstances of the incident are being established," the police said.
