G7 leaders supported the Ukrainian operation in the Moscow region. Trump reacted positively to licenses for the production of Patriot missiles in Europe and Ukraine.
The leaders of the G7 countries were informed about the Ukrainian operation in the Moscow region and supported Kyiv's actions in response to Russian aggression. Also during the summit, new sanctions against the Russian Federation and the possibility of launching the production of missiles for Patriot systems under American licenses in Europe and Ukraine were discussed, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with the media, UNN reports.

According to the head of state, the support from partners this time was unprecedented.
The entire G7, during the summit, knew about our operation in the Moscow region, saw the result, and fully supported Ukraine's absolutely fair and adequate responses. In my opinion, this was the first time the G7 unitedly supported Ukraine
The President noted that the partners' position was also influenced by the consequences of another massive Russian attack on Kyiv. According to him, the summit participants saw photos of the damage, in particular to the Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, and were informed about civilian casualties.
Separately, after the G7 meeting, Zelenskyy held talks with US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening sanctions against Russia and the issue of producing air defense systems.
This time it became quite public – that the American team reacted positively to the licenses for the first time
Production of Patriot missiles
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine and its partners already have the technical capabilities to launch the production of missiles for Patriot systems, but this requires US approval.
Everyone agrees that today we have all the technical capabilities to start producing missiles for Patriot systems. For this, licenses from the United States are needed. Now we need an OK personally from President Trump
According to the president, Trump plans to appeal to American defense companies with a request to organize the production of air defense missiles under licenses in Europe and Ukraine.
