The Ukrainian Football Association plans to hold an extraordinary congress on January 25, 2024, to elect a new president
The Ukrainian Football Association reported that it plans to hold an extraordinary UAF Congress on January 25, 2024, at which, among other things, it is planned to elect a new president of the association, the position of which is currently held by Andriy Pavelko, who is involved in a case of embezzlement and was placed in a pre-trial detention center, UNN writes.
Based on the appeals of 32 UAF members and in accordance with the charter, the administration of the Ukrainian Football Association proposed to the members of the executive committee to hold an extraordinary UAF Congress on January 25, 2024 at the Football House

According to the UAF, the congress plans to consider the issue of "electing the UAF president," the position of which is currently held by Andriy Pavelko, who was placed in a pre-trial detention center until January 18, 2024 on suspicion of embezzlement at the construction of a plant for the production of artificial turf for football fields.
One of the likely candidates for the UAF presidency is Andriy Shevchenko, a former striker for Dynamo Kyiv, Chelsea London, AC Milan, and the former coach of the Ukrainian national team.
The congress also plans to consider the election of the working bodies of the extraordinary XXVI UAF Congress, the election of first vice presidents, members of the executive committee, the audit body, etc.
