Fire at an industrial plant after a Russian attack: the extent of environmental damage is being determined in Ternopil

A meeting of the safety commission was held in Ternopil regarding the fire at the industrial facility after the Russian attack. The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection will take measurements of air and water, and the environmental inspection will assess environmental damage.
A meeting of the Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies was held in Ternopil to discuss the fire at an industrial facility caused by the Russian attack. The commission instructed the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection to take measurements of air and drinking water, and the regional environmental inspection to determine the extent of environmental damage. This was stated by Viktor Ustenko, deputy head of the Ternopil RMA, during a briefing, UNN reports.
The incident was classified as a state-level emergency because it was related to Russia's armed aggression. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has finished extinguishing the fire that broke out at the site of the emergency. The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection was instructed to take appropriate measurements in line with those taken by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention regarding air and drinking water. The Environmental Inspectorate was instructed to find out the extent of the damage caused to the environment
