The rector of Luhansk Volodymyr Dahl State University was sentenced to 10 years in prison for aiding and abetting the organization of a pseudo-referendum. He provided the university premises for the event and took an active part in its conduct.

The court found the rector of the occupation "Luhansk Dahl University", who helped organize the pseudo-referendum, guilty of aiding the aggressor state. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
In court, the prosecutor proved that the rector took an active part in the preparation and conduct of the pseudo-referendum.
"In July 2022, he organized a meeting of the so-called 'second composition of the public chamber of the lPR' at the university. It was decided to create a "public headquarters for the referendum on the accession of the lPR to the Russian Federation," the prosecutor's office said.
He provided the premises of an educational institution for voting and the location of the so-called election commission. On the day of the "expression of will", the convict voted for the "camera".
