Political scientist Oleh Lisnyi stated that European countries see risks from Belarus not only for Ukraine but also for themselves. He emphasized that Ukraine and Belarus have never fought, and it is important to prevent escalation.
European countries are increasingly realizing that the potential risks from Belarus concern not only Ukraine but also the security of the European Union itself. This was stated by political scientist Oleh Lisnyi during a roundtable at Ukrinform, reports UNN.

I am pleased that Europe has finally clearly understood: the threat from Belarus concerns not only Ukraine. Our partners see risks for themselves as well, so they are paying more and more attention to what is happening on the Belarusian front
The political scientist also emphasized that historically there have been no military conflicts between Ukrainians and Belarusians.
As far as I remember, Ukraine and Belarus have never fought against each other as states. And we certainly do not need to start such a history now. That is why it is important to prevent further involvement of Belarus in Russian aggression and new escalation in the region
