The EU has announced the first tranche of €3.2 billion from the €90 billion loan for Ukraine

The EU today transfers the first tranche under the Ukraine Support Loan of 90 billion euros - 3.2 billion euros in macro-financial assistance - to Ukraine, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced at the opening of URC 2026 in Gdańsk, Poland, on Thursday, UNN reports.

A prosperous Ukraine of tomorrow requires huge investments already today. Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, the European Union and its member states have provided 200 billion euros in economic, financial, and military support. And with the Ukraine Support Loan, we will provide another 90 billion euros over the next two years. Today we are transferring the first tranche under this loan – 3.2 billion euros in macro-financial assistance. And we will begin disbursing the first funds from the 6 billion euros for drone production in the coming days. This is solidarity in action
