The first set, which lasted 30 minutes, ended in Svitolina's favor - 6:2. The tennis players started the first set by exchanging games, with both athletes managing to convert a break point. At a score of 2:2, Svitolina made a surge and finished the set with a score of 6:2.
The second set, which lasted almost an hour, also ended in Svitolina's favor - 6:3. The players continued the match until the score reached 3:3. Notably, in all six games, Svitolina and Bartunkova converted break points. After that, Svitolina seized the initiative and ultimately ended the match with a victory - 6:3.
Ultimately, Svitolina managed to break through to the 1/4 finals of the tournament, where she will meet the winner of the pair Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic) - Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan).
