In the self-proclaimed republic, a group of officials was detained who, according to the investigation, robbed the Azovelectrostal plant. In particular, we are talking about metal structures worth at least 518 million rubles.
The so-called Deputy Minister of industry and trade of the "DPR" Vladimir Ruschak, his assistant Sergei Goloshchapov and the head of the Vtormet trading house responsible for the ministry Maxim Soldatov are accused of the crime. All of them face from 8 to 15 years in prison.
rossmi notes that this situation "happens in Russia for the first time when "officials" are accused of criminal liability for looting." At the same time, it is worth noting that the "DPR" is an occupied part of the Donetsk region, and it is run by pro-Russian puppets.
The Azovelectrostal plant produced railway transport, metallurgical and mining equipment. The company that suffered as a result of the war after mine clearance is planned to be transferred to Rostec.
