Donald Tusk is elected as the new Prime Minister of Poland. 248 members of the Sejm voted in favor and 201 against. President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen congratulated him on his victory.
The Polish Sejm has elected Donald Tusk to the post of prime minister, reports UNN.
According to Wyborcza, Donald Tusk has been elected the new Prime Minister of Poland. "248 members of the Sejm voted in favor. There were 201 against.
"Thank you to Poland, this is a really great day. Not for me, but for all those who have deeply believed over these many years that everything will go for the better and that we will drive away darkness and evil. It happened thanks to you," Donald Tusk said in the Sejm.

The first to congratulate Tusk on his election was European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. "Your experience and strong commitment to European values will be valuable in building a stronger Europe for the benefit of Poles," she wrote on the X website.
