The Russian Investigative Committee stated that Navalny died of a “combined disease” and “arrhythmia”. The politician's widow refutes the official version and believes that he was murdered and that the evidence is being hidden.

Russia has officially confirmed that the death of politician Alexei Navalny was the result of a "combined disease" and was caused by an "arrhythmia." This is stated in the ruling of the Investigative Committee for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, which was received by Navalny's team, UNN reports.

Details

According to the IC, Navalny's condition "deteriorated sharply" during his walk on February 16. After that, he was brought into the building, and then it was decided to place him in the medical unit and call an ambulance.

Until the ambulance arrived, Navalny received indirect heart massage and artificial respiration. However, at 14:17, doctors pronounced him dead.

The document emphasizes that the politician's death "is not of a criminal nature" and was triggered by a "critical increase in blood pressure." In addition, according to the ruling, Navalny was diagnosed with cholecystitis, pancreatitis, intervertebral hernia and other diseases.

In this regard, the IC refused to open a criminal case over the politician's death.

Addendum

According to the politician's widow, Yulia Navalnaya, Alexei did not have any heart disease during his lifetime.

Tell me, how did you detect this arrhythmia at the autopsy? Heart rhythm disorders cannot be established posthumously

 , she said.

In addition, according to Navalnaya, she knows that the politician was not immediately taken to the medical unit, but sent back to the punishment cell. Later, when he was already dying alone in his cell, he was transferred to the medical unit, where he complained of acute abdominal pain in the last minutes before his death.

Navalny's associates also emphasize that  is not giving back his belongings, even though the inspection is over.

They don't give him his clothes, books, notebooks and notebooks with notes, they don't even give him a cross. (...) There may be one explanation. The only one. He was killed, and now they are trying to cover their tracks as much as possible

- Navalny's widow is confident.
