The Ukrainian delegation took part in the Eleventh Plenary Session of the EU Parliamentary Assembly - Eastern Neighbors in Brussels, where it presented a draft resolution on the tenth anniversary of russian aggression and the second anniversary of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

On Monday, March 18, the Eleventh Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Union - Eastern Neighbors (PACE) started its work in Brussels, and the Ukrainian delegation joined it. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

It is noted that the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is represented by 7 MPs of Ukraine, headed by the Chairman of the Permanent Delegation Ivan Krulko, who was elected this year as Co-President of the PA EURONEST.

The delegation consisted of Volodymyr Ariev, Olena Vintoniak, Oleh Meydych, Ihor Molotok, Oleksandr Vasyuk, and Olga Stefanyshyna.

The first working days included meetings in the format of "political families", meetings of four standing committees, the Bureau of the PA EURONEST, working groups on the Association Agreement and on Belarus.

The Ukrainian delegation also submitted to the PACE a draft special resolution on the tenth anniversary of russian aggression and the second anniversary of rssia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which is scheduled to be voted on on March 20 during the Assembly's plenary session. Therefore, on March 20, the delegation continues its work in the format of plenary sessions

In addition, the Standing Committees held a number of thematic debates, including: strengthening the civilian and security dimension of the Eastern Partnership against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, energy infrastructure and its security, including challenges to integration and post-war reconstruction needs in the Eastern Partnership countries.

In addition, during the meeting, members of the EU Parliamentary Assembly discussed the economic consequences of russia's military aggression for Ukraine and the Eastern Partnership region.

Other topics for debate were the implementation of the Economic and Investment Plan for the Eastern Partnership, social support and integration of minors fleeing war in the European Union, as well as digitalization and access to social services and rights in the context of developing the cross-border social dimension of the Eastern Partnership.
