The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense delivered 154 Great Wall Wingle 5 pickups for the Armed Forces of Ukraine through Prozorro. The cars meet the technical requirements and cost UAH 996 thousand per unit, the total amount of contracts is UAH 153 million.

The defense procurement agency of the Ministry of defense has already delivered 154 Great Wall Wingle 5 pickups for the military based on the results of purchases in the Prozorro system. This was stated in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, reports UNN.

Details

The ministry emphasizes that the car meets all the technical requirements approved by the Ministry of defense of Ukraine.

Also, pickups and other vehicles based on the chassis of this model are approved for operation by the Ministry of Defense and are actively used by units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

11 participants competed in tenders for the purchase of pickups. The supplier won with a price of 996 thousand UAH per car, including VAT. The total amount of contracts concluded is UAH 153 million, of which approximately UAH 40 million is made up of duties, taxes and fees that will be returned to the country's budget.

When purchasing pickups, it was critically important for us to make sure that the car meets all the requirements that the military handed over to us, and at the same time ensure high competition and the most efficient use of each Hryvnia

- said Marina Bezrukova, director of the defense procurement agency.

The pickups are equipped with all-wheel drive and a two-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 143 horsepower, which meets the Euro-4 standard and is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The vehicles can take on board up to 5 people and cargo weighing up to 1 ton, and are also capable of towing a trailer weighing 0.85 tons. The body can accommodate up to 4 personnel and additional equipment for armament.
