Czech Republic to deliver first batch of artillery shells to Ukraine by June

The Czech Republic will deliver the first batch of artillery shells to Ukraine by June as part of a joint project with Germany to supply about 180,000 155-mm and 152-mm ammunition units by the end of the year.

The Czech Republic's initiative to supply ammunition was one of the main topics of the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense held on March 19 at the Ramstein military base in Germany.
According to Defense Minister Yana Chornokhova, the ammunition should arrive in Ukraine "just in time" under the Czech initiative.
A joint project to supply 155 mm artillery ammunition or Soviet 152 mm ammunition was signed with Germany. It includes about 180 thousand units of ammunition to be delivered to Ukraine by the end of the year.
