"Customs visa-free regime" reached its peak in the second quarter, with more than 91 thousand transit declarations filed - Ministry of Finance

In the second quarter of 2024, Ukraine issued 25.5 thousand transit customs declarations under the "customs visa-free regime", bringing the total number to 91 thousand since its introduction on October 1, 2022.
Within the framework of the "customs visa-free regime", 91 thousand transit customs declarations have been issued, of which 25.5 thousand were issued in the second quarter of 2024, the Ministry of Finance reported on Wednesday, UNN writes.

"In the second quarter of 2024, the State Customs Service issued 25.5 thousand transit declarations under the common transit procedure (NCTS), which is 2 thousand more than in the previous quarter. Moreover, most of them, about 15 thousand, were issued in the new NCTS Phase 5 system for business," the Ministry of Finance reported.
The agency concludes that despite the process of transitioning businesses to NCTS Phase 5, which took place on April 22 , "the dynamics of issuing declarations in the common transit procedure has not slowed down." The second quarter of 2024 was the most productive since the start of the international use of "customs visa-free travel" on October 1 , 2022 .
"The total number of completed declarations reached 91 thousand," the Ministry of Finance said.
