The Babushkinsky District Court of Dnipro will postpone the election of a preventive measure against MP Tyshchenko to January 6 due to his absence from the hearing. Tyshchenko did not appear due to his coronary heart disease, although he was obliged to be present.

The Babushkinsky District Court of Dnipro plans to impose a pre-trial restraint on MP Mykola Tyshchenko on January 6. His round-the-clock house arrest expires today. UNN reports this with reference to Suspilne.

"As a result of the court hearing, former police officer Bohdan Pysarenko's measure of restraint in the form of house arrest was extended for two months. A preventive measure will be chosen for Mykola Tyshchenko at the next hearing, on January 6, correspondents from the courtroom reported," the statement said.

The court reportedly noted that Tyshchenko's preventive measure expires today.

"The prosecutor will have to initiate the question of the validity of the reason (for absence from the courtroom - ed.), because if someone goes to the hospital to get vaccinated, have tests done, or if someone feels sick after the weekend, and the pressure increases, this is not a valid reason. The court will have to establish the validity of the reason. If the defense fails to provide a valid reason for the absence during the court hearing, the court has the right, and this is determined by law, to consider the motion for a preventive measure without his participation," said the victim's lawyer Vitaliy Kolomiets.
