Construction of the Podolsk bridge: the subcontractor is suspected of embezzling 6 million hryvnias

The general contractor made false data on the volume of underwater work on the Podolsk bridge in Kiev. The subcontractor was transferred more than UAH 6 million for work that was not actually carried out.
The head of the subcontractor organization is suspected of embezzling several million hryvnias from the budget during the construction of the Podilsky bridge in Kiev. This was stated in the Office of the prosecutor general, reports UNN.

Investigators found out that the general contractor for the construction of the Podolsk bridge in 2020 entered false data on the volume and cost of underwater work performed by the subcontractor.
We are talking about work on cleaning metal structures from fouling at a depth of 12-20 meters with the involvement of a diving station. More than UAH 6 million was transferred to the subcontractor for these works.

According to the procedural management of the Podolsk District Prosecutor's office of the city of Kiev, suspicion was reported to the head of the subcontractor organization on the fact of embezzlement of budget funds in especially large amounts during the construction of the Podolsk bridge crossing over the Dnieper River in Kiev (Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). the indictment against the general contractor on these facts has already been sent to the court
