A large-scale transformation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was announced by Commander Mykhailo Drapaty. As reported by the Land Forces, this transformation will cover recruitment and military training, the latest technologies and battle management, digitalization of processes in the army, transformation of management, logistics and social support for the military, UNN reports.

The beginning of fundamental changes that will affect the situation at the front in favor of Ukraine, as indicated, was announced by the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty at the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters on Thursday, December 12.

"The Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine must become high-tech, flexible and adaptive. An elite force! People, technology and transparent management are our focus," emphasized Major General Mykhailo Drapaty.

He added that the announced changes have the full support of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and will be implemented jointly with the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense and civil society: volunteers and charitable foundations.

What and how exactly will change in the largest structural unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Land Forces:

- Military training: it is about reforming training programs and centers, as well as using the most modern simulators and other new technologies in training. The training of a soldier should be best adapted to the needs of the front line.

"The skills and abilities of our core - the infantryman - should be as applied and practical as possible, without unnecessary lyrics, and the main carriers of this knowledge will be the NCO corps with combat experience. These changes will emphasize the principles of military leadership and knowledge of technology. Without such skills, it is impossible to establish control over the chaos of battle, and now it is one of the main goals to change the situation at the front," explained Drapaty.

- Recruitment and social support: the Land Forces will introduce a transparent recruitment model with zero tolerance for corruption. At the same time, the approach to social support for servicemen will change. He or she should feel constantly cared for: from the first day of service to employment in civilian life after discharge.

- Technology: Ukrainian infantryman must have a technological advantage over the enemy on the battlefield.

- Optimization of management processes: "Agility and efficiency" are needed in the administrative apparatus, with organizational change and digitalization as the basis for this.

Logistics and military training will reportedly be the first areas to experience management changes. After all, they are crucial for the combat capability of the Ukrainian army.

"Today, the Land Forces need changes, new energy of soldiers and a modern approach to the development of their capabilities. On this day, the Day of the Land Forces, I would like to say: there will definitely be changes! No matter how difficult it is, we have no right not to do it. The Ukrainian people, every soldier who joined the Armed Forces, have already begun to build the army of the future. We have to complete our work with a double victory: over the enemy and over everything that has hindered the transformation of the army.
