Since November, the Russian air force has begun to use 500-kilogram RBK-500 cluster bombs more frequently, the British Ministry of Defense said in a new intelligence report, UNN reports .

Details
Intelligence reports indicate that RBK-500s were used against Ukrainian forces in the Vuhledar sector and near Avdiivka in Donetsk region.
Russia may have integrated a UMPC guided missile planning kit into the RBK-500, which allows the carrier aircraft to release a munition many kilometers from the target.
"Russian planning bomb kits generally have low accuracy. However, due to the large number of submunitions, a single RBK-500 can operate over an area of several hundred meters, increasing the likelihood of causing any damage to the intended target," the intelligence summarized.
To recap,
According to British intelligence, Russian troops made a small advance in an attempt to surround Avdiivka, which resulted in thousands of casualties.
