Ukrainian border guards engaged a Russian sabotage group in Sumy region, which led to the aggressor's retreat. Reserve forces and artillery units were brought in to reinforce them.
In Sumy region, Ukrainian border guards clashed with representatives of a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group yesterday, UNN reports citing the press service of the State Border Guard Service.
Yesterday, a border patrol detected several members of the enemy subversive reconnaissance group moving from the territory of the aggressor country. The soldiers opened fire on the saboteurs, and a firefight ensued
To reinforce the area, reserves of SBGS and Defense Forces units were sent to the site, and artillery and mortar units were deployed.
"As a result of the battle, the occupiers retreated, enemy losses are being clarified," the agency said.
