Ukrainian border guards engaged a Russian subversive group of more than a dozen saboteurs in Sumy region, forcing the enemy to retreat.
In Sumy region, Ukrainian border guards discovered an enemy ambush with more than a dozen saboteurs and engaged in combat with a Russian subversive group, the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported on Thursday, UNN reported .

Reportedly, an enemy ambush with more than a dozen saboteurs was detected by border guards at one of the directions. A firefight ensued.
Reserves from the State Border Guard Service and Defense Forces were deployed to reinforce the position, and artillery and mortar units were deployed.
"As a result of the clash, the enemy retreated," the SBGS said.

Previously, border guards recorded an attempted entry by enemy subversive reconnaissance groups on April 14. Back then, in Sumy region, border guards repelled an attack by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group, and the Russians retreated.
