About 2,600 trucks are queuing at the border with Ukraine due to the blockade, while the flow of trucks through the Yahodyn crossing point has increased since it was unblocked.

As of this morning, about 2.6 thousand trucks were queuing in Poland towards the border with Ukraine amid the blockade of Polish carriers. More than 700 trucks crossed the border in both directions at the unblocked Yagodyn checkpoint over the past day. This was reported to UNN by the State Border Guard Service spokesman Andriy Demchenko.

The blocking of three directions continues - the checkpoints "Rava-Ruska", "Krakivets" and  "Shehyni". As of this morning, according to the information we have from our Polish colleagues, almost 2 600 trucks are waiting in line in Poland to cross into Ukraine," said Demchenko.

According to him, the largest queues of trucks opposite the Shehyni checkpoint are actually half of the almost 2,600.

"Of course, the traffic is still moving, but it is many times less than it was before the blocking of truck traffic," Demchenko said.

He also commented on the situation at the Yahodyn checkpoint, where traffic was unblocked on December 11.

"We note the dynamics of increasing the number of trucks crossing the border. Over the past day, more than 700 trucks crossed the border in both directions. During the blockade, an average of 120-150 trucks crossed the border in this direction per day. As of this morning, there were 700 trucks in the queue in the direction of the Yahodyn checkpoint towards Ukraine," Demchenko said.
