Belgium intends to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets in 2025, as confirmed by Defense Ministers Rustem Umerov and Ludivine Dedonder, and preparations for equipment and training are underway.
The transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine and the training of pilots and the supply of necessary equipment were discussed during a meeting between Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder. UNN reports this with reference to the the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

According to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, now it is necessary to start the process of establishing supply chains for ammunition, spare parts and technical equipment for the F-16.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the possibility of hosting representatives of the Belgian defense industry in Ukraine early next year.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine notes that the total amount of of technical assistance from the Kingdom of Belgium to the Ukrainian Defense Forces is over 320 million euros.
"We highly appreciate your unwavering support and comprehensive participation in the process of strengthening the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Rustem Umerov emphasized.

In October, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said that the state would be able to to provide F-16 aircraft to Ukraine starting in 2025, but this will happen after the government's decision, which will be at that time.
